How To Quickly Fill A Range With The Same Data Or Formulas

This tip is a major time saver.
Post this one on your monitor till you are doing this habitually.

For most Excel users, entering the same text or formula into a range of cells involves entering the data into the first cell, copying that cell, highlighting the cells where you want the data copied, and pasting the data.

Instead try the following.

  1. Select the range of cells you want to fill.

  2. Type in the formula or text, and instead of pressing ENTER, press CTRL + ENTER. The text or formula will automatically be entered in all of the selected cells.
