EDITOR NOTES Top ![]() Hi Fellow Excel Addict, It had to come to an end sooner or later. The weather here in Newfoundland has finally gotten back to normal - it's freezing here tonight. I'd love to be lying on a beach in Vanuatu right now. What? You've never heard of Vanuatu? Actually, neither did I till someone from that group of tropical islands in the South Pacific subscribed to my newsletter recently. Sounds like a nice place to escape a Canadian winter. Congratulations to Jim Henderson of San Diego, USA, the latest winner in my t-shirt contest (see below how you could win). My newsletter will be a quick read today. I have some short but, none-the-less, effective tips to help you on the road to greater productivity and efficiency. Have a great week.
To Your Success! EXCEL "QUICK TIP" Top When The Formula Bar Gets In The Way Do you sometimes find that when you have more than two lines of text in your formula bar that it hides the first row or two of your spreadsheet? The solution is to insert a temporary row "1" and then adjust the row height so that your cells are not hidden. When you're done, simply delete the temporary row "1".
T-SHIRT CONTEST Top Every month I am giving away a really cool t-shirt to one of my newsletter subscribers. You can sneak a peek at my t-shirt here. If you subscribed to this newsletter prior to this current month, you can still get your name in for the draw each month by helping me share this newsletter. All you have to do each month is click here to recommend my newsletter and website to a friend. For each person that you refer, your name will go into the t-shirt draw. The more Excel friends you refer, the more chances you have of winning a t-shirt. But please, recommend it only to people you know and who are Microsoft Excel users. If you use the 'Tell A Friend' link at www.TheExcelAddict.com you could win $10,000 and you will also qualify for my t-shirt draw. *** Each monthly winner will be notified by email and will have 10 days to reply with a shipping address. If I don't receive a reply within 10 days, another name will be drawn.
"HOW TO EXCEL" MINI-TUTORIAL Top Use Autoshapes To Highlight Information Try using Excel's AutoShapes for adding notes and highlighting other information on your worksheet.
