You
may notice that
many of
the resources below seem to focus on wealth and riches. The following
excerpt from the classic "The Science of Getting Rich" tells us that
money isn't the main goal of success, but it is an essential tool you
and I need to help us reach our full potential.
WHATEVER
MAY BE
SAID
IN PRAISE OF POVERTY, the fact remains that it is not possible to live
a really
complete or successful life unless one is rich. No one can rise to his
greatest possible height in talent or
soul development unless he has plenty of money, for to unfold the soul
and to develop talent he must
have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has
money to buy them with.
A person develops in mind, soul, and body by making use of things, and
society is so organized
that man must have money in order to become the possessor of things.
Therefore, the basis of all
advancement must be the science of getting rich.
The
object of all
life is development, and everything that lives has an inalienable right
to all the
development it is capable of attaining.
A
person’s
right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of
all the things which
may be necessary to his fullest mental, spiritual, and physical
unfoldment; or, in other words, his right
to be rich.

Hi,
my name is Francis
J Hayes (a.k.a The Excel
Addict) and I'm so excited that
you
have decided to check out my own personal Personal Development
resources page. I don't claim to be a Personal Development expert --
far from it. I can only relate to you my
own personal
experience in this area.
But due to the tremendous
impact
these audios, books, articles, newsletters and videos have had on my
life, I want to share them with everyone I possibly can.
Although many
so-called self-help experts claim to have the answer to all of your
problems if you buy their product or service, it has been my experience
that there is no personal development 'magic bullet'. Personal
Development is a life-long journey
-- one I believe is
definitely worth taking, regardless of your stage in life.
It was only about six
years ago that I discovered the field of personal development. I am now
49 years old. I only wish I had discovered this when I was younger. The
things I have learned over the past few years have turned my life
around. For years my life was full of stress. I was always complaining
about everything and everybody that kept me from being successful,
happy, and healthy. I had always hoped that some day things would get
better -- but nothing ever seemed to changed for me. Year after year
things stayed the same, I felt the same, I continued to complain and
kept hoping for things to change.
Now, after five years
of working on my 'inner self', with the help of these resources, I want
to share them with you. I am so grateful for the many blessings I now
have in my life as a result of this new found knowledge and awareness.
Many of the things I am grateful for, I have always had but just didn't
recognize. Other blessings I have are the result of this new
self-awareness and the profound discovery that we ourselves, and not
any outside source, are the creators of our own lives through what we
continually focus our thoughts on. You will find that idea explained
and reinforced in many of these resources.
I have had many
requests to share this information, so I am very happy and excited to
share with you some of the resources that I have found helpful. My hope
is that they will also improve your life as well. To make it easy to
share this information, I have put together a list of some of my
favourites below and included some notes and my own personal
observations.
As I find the time, I
will be adding more resources I find and share with you some of my own
experiences. If you want me to let you know when I find something new
and exciting, enter your name and email in the form above. If you have
any comments about any of these resources, suggestions of others that
you find helpful, or wish to share your experiences, I would be happy
to hear from you. Please email me at
success(AT)theexceladdict(DOT)com,
though I cannot always
gurantee a reply.
A
Few
Comments
On These Resources I'm Sharing With You:
You
may find that at some of these websites it will
be necessary for you to sign up for a newsletter in order to access the
free content and bonuses. My own experience with this is that these
ezines contain priceless knowledge that can help you in your life-long
journey of personal development. You will want to sample many or all of
these to find out which ones appeal to you and which ones don't.
However, it will get to a point where you cannot possibly read every
one of these newsletters. My advice (i.e. my experience) is to sign up
for the newsletter, even if it's just to get the free bonuses, and read
it for a few weeks. Then decide which ones 'WOW you' and unsubscribe
from the rest.
These
sites will not
give away your email address. I
have never
had a problem with any of these websites
giving away my email address.
You'll
probably come
across hundreds of people who
claim to be personal development gurus. If you want to start with the
best look out for names like Jim Rohn, Bob Proctor, Brian Tracy, Vic
Johnson, Zig Ziglar, Randy Gage, Mark Victor Hansen, Robert G. Allen,
Bob Doyle, Jack Canfield, Robert Kiyosaki. There are many, many more
but these are a few of my mentors whose wisdom is inspiring me to
transform my life into something better than I had ever imagined.

Think
and Grow Rich The #1 success
classic of all time. This book has
influenced more people that any other book written in the
Motivation/Self Help field. This link takes you to an e-book (for
purchase). Personally, I bought the book at a local bookstore. I think
this was the first PD book I ever read.
The
Secret This is one amazing
movie. I originally watched it
online before it was released on DVD and was so impressed that I
ordered the DVD so I could watch it over and over. This movie
was released a couple of years ago and quickly
became one of the cornerstones of the self-help movement. As you
probably know, it has been highly recommended by Oprah. After watching
the trailer video below, visit the website at www.TheSecret.tv.
You'll find a lot of great information there.

If
you are new to personal development you may want to start by
downloading and listening to "SICK

which you can get here for
FREE.
You'll
also find lots of samples of the recordings. PLAY THESE OVER AND
OVER IN YOUR MP3 PLAYER. The E-zine from this website is actually an
'MP3-zine' containing a different MP3 audio message each week from one
of the masters of personal development.
Jim
Rohn (1930-2009) Jim Rohn was one of
the first personal development
trainers I ever heard of. Unfortunately, Jim passed
away on December 5, 2009. I've purchased many of his his books, e-books, MP3 audios
and CDs. Jim Rohn is the person
who trained Anthony Robbins and was a mentor to many other personal
development trainers. At his website you can sample Jim's works, browse through his archive of past newsletters
and articles.
I especially like the
convenience of being able to purchase and instantly download his MP3
audios and ebooks. There's a lot of wisdom to be had here for under $10.
